Pure Mettal metallic coating

Pure Mettal is the two-component metallic coating specifically developed to achieve metallic-looking finishes.

Characterised by its high metal concentration, Pure Mettal's technology gives any surface a true metallic look and can be used to achieve anything from a polished look to an oxidised effect.

One of its main characteristics is that it has the ability to transform any surface (walls, furniture, doors, etc.) into a completely new design full of visual and tactile sensations.

Pure Mettal is a two-component coating consisting of a component A, powdered metal particles, and a component B, a resin developed specifically for this system. It is available in a wide range of shades: iridium, bronze, aluminium, brass and copper.

Bronze is a tin-aluminium alloy that gives a special touch to the application, as it is ideal for rustic, industrial and even Scandinavian atmospheres.

Before the rise of plastics, objects made of brass or copper were essential in everyday life. Now, thanks to the fever for evocative environments of the early 20th century, these materials are once again in vogue.

Giving a touch of copper to the application brings liveliness and vanguard due to the brightness and reddish color that the metallic particles of copper provide. Copper combines with a wide variety of styles and materials.

Iridium is a material that was formerly associated with handcrafted and rustic decoration. However, the application of our material fits perfectly in modern environments because of the sensation of strength and robustness it transmits.

Aluminum is a very versatile material with an undeniable industrial character that combines perfectly with other materials such as wood or brick to achieve, for example, the atmosphere of a New York loft.

+ STEP BY STEP
Step 1. Cleaning and preparation of the substrate.
Make sure it is well consolidated, dry and, if necessary, sanded. Vacuum to clean the substrate.

Step 2. Priming.
Apply one coat of Primacem ABS primer (absorbent substrate) or Primacem PLUS primer (non-absorbent substrate). Let dry for around 1 hour.

Step 3. Decoration.
Mix component A and component B of the chosen Pure Mettal finish (Bronze, Aluminium, Iridium, Brass or Copper). Apply two coats, letting each layer to dry from 2 to 4 hours. Let it dry 24 hours.

Step 4A. Metallic finish and sealer
If a metallic finish is desired, once the surface has been decorated and polished, apply two coats of Topsealer WT One Coat to protect the surface (allowing 24 hours drying time between applications). Allow to dry for 24 hours.

Step 4B. Rust finish and sealer
If an oxidised finish is preferred, once the surface has been decorated and polished, apply Mettal Activator to accelerate oxidation and sand. Then apply two coats of Presealer (allowing 4 hours between coats) and sand. Finally protect the surface with two coats of Topsealer WT One Coat (24 hours between coats). Allow to dry for 24 hours.
